Saturday April 5: Sprint and Advanced categories begin

Saturday April 6: Expedition category begins

About the Race

Participants should be prepared to complete from 20 to 100 miles each of trekking, mountain biking and canoeing depending on the category selected. Overall race distance will vary from 50 miles (Sprint) to 300 miles (Expedition). Time required to complete each course will vary from 6 hours (Sprint) to 7 days (Expedition). Strong navigational skills are required. The race is also a USARA Nationals qualifier.

Additional adventure racing elements may be encountered.

Adventure Racing Categories

There are three entry categories for the Ozark Challenge.

Sprint (50 miles, 4-Person Coed)
Advanced (100 miles, 4-Person Coed)
Expeditin (300 miles, 4-Person Coed)

Race Fees

The entry fee is based on the category as follows and includes boats, maps, t-shirts, camping, and other goodies:

Sprint - $380 per team
Advanced - $580 per team
Expedition - $1500 per team

In addition, you will need to purchase an $8.00 one-event USARA license or an annual USARA license. For more info on the USARA and this license, view their website at: www.usara.com. If you are purchasing a one-event license, you will do so at race check-in. If you are already a USARA member, make sure you bring your license to race check-in.
